In light of the economic recession, I thought I'd blog about the simple joys in life. I'd been a bit discourage about the overwhelming business of life and impending unemployment upon graduation, but life is really good and there are so many things to be grateful for. Today, I started the day by having breakfast with my roommate Joey at Cafe 50's. We both love breakfast and enjoyed the nice leisurely walk to the restaurant. She had banana walnut pancakes and I had oatmeal. Yum... Today is also the beginning of the Lenten season and I have decided to give up meat once again. And considering becoming a pescetarian (vegetarian +fish) for both health and environmental reasons. I hope everyone has a great day~!
I'd love to hear about your simple pleasures. What has brightened your day today?

hmm perhaps you should consider giving up all meats if you want to be environmentally conscious.

i had a nice evening having dinner with a close friend and just chatting. it's all i needed to recenter myself from an over-scheduled couple of weeks.
@chungabunga - Yes, overfishing is an big issue. I'd stick with fish type that have not been affected by overfishing, which will change on a seasonal basis
My simple pleasure: Reading the newspaper.
